Kaitangata Wild Horses![]() Kaitangata is rich in stories about the origins of the wild horses from- pit ponies that were no longer needed at the coal mines, to horses that were on the farm prior to 1910, when the McCrosties bought the estate. The former owners kept thoroughbreds and the McCrosties believe the horses soon became wild because they hadn’t been handled. |
