All you mature chaps out there are invited to get together & share a story or two, talk about the past & help set the world to rights!

Black Gold Summer Wine meetings are held the first Tuesday in the month 10.30am to 12 noon in the Kaitangata Fire Station, Eddystone Street Kaitangata. Attendance is a gold coin donation to cover tea, coffee and venue.

Since beginning in May 2008 Black Gold Summer Wine have been entertained by South Otago Museum Curator Gary Ross as well as visiting The Owaka Museum, Milton Butchers Museum and Finch’s Museum . Other sharing times focus on reminiscing, looking over past photos and relics or just generally have a good old fashioned natter.

While the prime focus of Black Gold Summer Wine is to support mature chaps, it does extend a welcome and inclusion to everyone.

This group continues to meet consitently as well as undertaking some away trips. These trips have included museum visits to Milton, Owaka, Invercargill and Dunedin Gasworks.
